A basketball scout who is having a tough time of it decides to bring a once-in-a-lifetime athlete who has had a troubled past to the United States without getting his current team's permission after coming across the player in another country. They have one more opportunity to defy the odds and demonstrate that they have what it takes to be successful in the NBA.
