A parallel realm of violent animals from Indonesian mythology has coexisted with mankind for eons in the bustling streets and alleyways of Jakarta. A powerful family of mortals has concealed these "Demit's" actual identity for decades, despite the fact that they have assumed the appearance of humans. This hidden universe will be revealed at the arrival of a mysterious supernatural occurrence known only as the Gift. As the day of the Gift comes, Sarah, a young street artist, finds herself unexpectedly at the center of the maelstrom. Once the Demit learn who Sarah truly is and what she must do, humans and Demit are placed on a collision path that could alter the equilibrium of their two worlds for all time.
