Anube's gypsy clan has just arrived in Baron Tovar's village in an undisclosed Renaissance nation when Count Orso is murdered. The evil baron blames the gypsies and imprisons them all in his castle. Meanwhile, a mystery figure on a white horse has concealed the murder arrow and captured the love of gypsy belle Carla, much to the chagrin of her former fiancée Tonio. Carla fascinates Baron Tovar as well, especially when he observes her heraldic pendant.
