Lilian has been entrusted in the care of family friends in Brooklyn, New York, because her widower father is currently living it up in Paris with a new, young lover. Lilian has no genuine desire to live a different lifestyle than her hermit flatmate under the roof of renowned author Julia Price. To impress her ex-boyfriend and the other cynics in her life, Lilian plans to film an unofficial documentary on Julia with the help of some new persons in her life.
