1949, los Angeles. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen runs the series in this town, quickening the profits from the drugs, the firearms and -- he has his style -- every wire bet housed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not just their personal paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control.
