A quartet of wannabe actors share an apartment while undergoing intensive training with a strict tutor (Bulle Ogier). While they are rehearsing Pierre Marivaux's La Double inconstance, offstage drama infiltrates their lives through the presence of a scary mystery man (Benoît Régent) with a sinister tale to tell.
