Bank burglar Graham Dorsey spends a couple of hrs with beautiful widow Amanda Starbuck, in which time his gang takes part in a tragic holdup. Learning of his sidekicks' demise, Dorsey goes on the lam. Believing her short-term enthusiast was eliminated by the regulation, Amanda chooses to make the most of having had an intermediary with the allegedly dead desperado by creating a publication about him. Much to his confusion, the still-living Dorsey enjoys as his name comes to be fabulous.
