When Nora Ephron's daughter Jacob Bernstein was born, she was reared by screenwriters in Hollywood and went on to become an award-winning journalist and essayist before moving on to become an award-winning novelist/director/screenwriter/playwright. Ephron's comments; the memories of her sisters, coworkers, previous spouses, and many friends; sequences from her movies; and, most all, her own inimitable presence make her films come to life. Any of Ephron's sparkling yet caustically hilarious moments (such as this one to a scolding talk show host—) are worth watching "Surely you have a special place in your heart for Julie Nixon. Look at it that way "For three years, she's been gone from our lives, and it's hard to believe. Ephron's mother's slogan, "Everything is copy," serves as both a loving portrait and a vivid image of New York culture at a time when it was more vibrant, bitchier, and funnier.
