The great Chicago White Sox team of 1919 will be your team to win a pennent. The team is sour in their penny pincher owner, Charles Comiskey, and also in their own championships. Gamblers take advantage of this possibility to offer a few players $ to throw the series (Many of those players did not get as far as promised.) However, play and Buck Weaver and the amazing Shoeless Joe Jackson turn back at the eleventh hour to try with their best. The Sox almost come back from a 3-1 deficit. Two decades after, the reality breaks out and the Sox are sued on multiple accounts. Baseball commissioner Landis has other plans although They're found innocent by the prosecution. The eight players are suspended for lifetime, and Buck Weaver, for the rest of his life, strives to clean his name.
