The annual beauty contest in a small Minnesota hamlet is being covered by a television crew. Explosions, falling lights, and trailer fires demonstrate that former winner Gladys Leeman want for her daughter to continue in her footsteps. Due to the fact that the Leemans are the wealthiest family in town, the police are somewhat lenient. Main adversary (but sweet) Amber Atkins will not give up without a fight, despite all odds.
