Dr. Emma Collins and her team are spending their third summer on the island of Little Happy, studying the influence of climate change on the great white sharks that visit the adjacent nursery to give birth each year. Along with the village's final two residents, their idyllic existence is upended when a "scientific" team led by her ex-boyfriend and marine researcher Richard arrives in search of three bull sharks.
