Because of his crude demeanor, Professor Pohl does not have the finest reputation at the educational institution where he works. When the student Naima arrives late for his lesson, he makes a racially charged comment, which only makes matters worse. Unfortunately for him, a video of his verbal outburst goes viral on the Internet, and as a result, the university's president, Lambrecht, is called to handle the situation. Pohl, though, will not be cast aside. Instead, he is tasked with assisting Naima in preparing for an important debate competition that she will be participating in. Despite the fact that the student and the lecturer couldn't be more dissimilar to one another, they are forced to collaborate on the project.
