Throughout the series, particularly talented young dancers from across the country will invite one inspirational, but untrained, family member or other adult who has supported their dancing goals to join them for a chance to compete for a grand prize. Each week, these aspiring children will share their passion for dance with their mother, father, grandparent, or other hero as they embark on an uplifting and emotional journey to learn and perform difficult routines with the assistance of professional choreographers in a competition against other duos.
