Prior to Alice's journey to Wonderland and Peter's transformation into Pan, they were brother and sister. When their elder brother is killed in a sad accident, they individually attempt to rescue their parents from their downward spirals of grief, until they are forced to choose between home and imagination, thereby setting the stage for their epic travels into Wonderland and Neverland.
