Federal agent Alexandra Barnes considers that Catherine Petersen is just actually a serial killer who then murders them for his or her money and marries rich men. But since Catherine is apparently a master of disguise and it has multiple identities, Alexandra can't establish anything with conventional detective job. Without any other option, she goes undercover, pursuing exactly the very same person and hoping that Catherine will slide up and show her identity.
