Walter and francesca are two-bit offenders in Northern Italy, also in an effort to prevent the police, Francesca joins an organization of women rice workers. She matches the soldier, Silvana, and the peasant rice worker. She is followed by walter to the rice fields, and also the four characters become involved in a plot involving love, vandalism, and even murder.
