Jessie's father is murdered, and Lena, Jessie's sister, is a victim of the crime (it is thought to be an accidental gas leak). Kylie and her mother Tanya live in the same neighborhood as Jessie and her mother Anna. Kylie has been requested by Anna as a replacement.
