A single pregnant woman living without her husband or some other man, independently. Reluctantly, Divyendu Sharma finds himself involved with her life. His cousins, played by Dolly Ahluwalia, is a woman who resides in Badnaam lane (name of the home complex in Delhi) and keeps tabs on the society that she lives and keeps her nephew informed about the where abouts of its occupants, especially the Bengali surrogate woman, Patralekhaa.
