Terry Gannon Jr. was an allstar softball player till life drove her a couple curve balls: a kid, a lost faculty scholarship and a loser for a husband. After striking out on her own, Terry and her boy Danny move in with her father, Terry Sr. aka"The Cannon," an abysmal, beer-guzzling, ex-athlete who never made the cut as one father or professional baseball player. When Terry supplies to also a set of additional athletically-challenged hopefuls and trainer Danny, her past comes rushing back again.
