Babylon 5 is really just a space station located in space that is neutral. Built by the Earth Alliance in the 2250s, by offering a refuge where negotiations and grievances can be resolved among appointed ambassadors, the purpose of it is to keep peace among the many alien races. A council comprising representatives from the five leading civilizations - the Earth Alliance, Minbari Federation, Centauri Republic, Narn Regime, and Vorlon Empire - work with the League to stay interstellar connections under control. Besides its function, Babylon 5 also serves as a port of demand travelers, traders, businessmen, criminals, and Rangers and a military place for Earth.
