In1914, Pancho Villa invites studios to film his actual clashes with Porfrio Diaz's army in order to obtain revenue for buying guns and ammunition. The Mutual Film Corporation, represented by producer D.W. Griffith, expresses interest in the concept and assigns filmmaker Frank Thayer to negotiate a contract with Pancho Villa personally.
