An Idiot Abroad is a British travel documentary television series broadcast on Science and Sky1, in Addition to books Released by Canongate Books. The theme of both television series and the books is that Pilkington does not have any attention in travel that is world wide, so Merchant and Gervais create him monitor his own progress and travel while they stay in the United Kingdom.
