With only one week to prepare, Lisa Patterson and her family of party planners are assigned the largest project in the history of their company: a New Year's Eve party for software entrepreneur Megan Clark. However, when her brother breaks his leg and her parents go for a planned vacation, Lisa is forced to seek the assistance of her brother's visiting college mate, David Campos, in order to carry off the event, which happens to fall on her favorite day of the year. However, Lisa had not anticipated falling in love in the process.
