A young guy is the subject of a wager by his doctor that the doctor can help him restore his joy in life after having been saved from suicide. Interestingly, the doctor's life is not particularly joyful either, so his boast rings hollow. For starters, despite the appearance of a "happy divorce" in which he, his ex-wife, and her new spouse are all close friends, this is untrue. He wants his wife to come home. These lies and misrepresentations cause all kinds of issues.
