Teletoon launched the first episode of the animated sitcom "6teen" in 2004 in its home country of Canada. The first episode of 6teen aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on December 18, 2005, and the show remained on the network's schedule until May 13, 2006. Reruns of 6teen were initially broadcast on The N from December 26, 2005 through July 28, 2006, however the show did not return to The N in its original form as a 24-hour channel until December 31, 2007 and remained there until June 21, 2008. After its debut on October 23, 2008, the series Sixteen was broadcast in the United States on Cartoon Network. Since it first aired on October 23, 2008, the show Sixteen has had many airings each week on Cartoon Network. However, the show was taken from the schedule in the middle of November 2009. Then, in the middle of February 2010, it made a comeback with frequent airings, and it was taken off the broadcast once more after the conclusion of its series on June 21, 2010. The sixth season of "Teen Titans Go!" made a brief comeback on Cartoon Network in January 2011, but it was only there for one month before being pulled along with other shows that had been canceled. It is broadcast occasionally on the Popgirl show. In the final episode of the series, "Bye Bye Nikki? Part 2," an acoustic version of the theme song originally performed by Brian Melo was featured. The conclusion of 6teen came after a total of 93 episodes. Both the United States of America and Canada have contributed to the production of DVDs and iTunes releases. Despite the fact that the show has been cancelled, creators Pertsch and McGillis have shown their openness to working on a reunion film or telemovie of up to two hours in length. The show is not presently scheduled to air on Cartoon Network at this time; however, episodes are still available to view on Cartoon Network on Demand in certain regions. On January 3, 2011, 6teen began airing repeats on Teletoon. The show currently airs on Saturday mornings at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), and it has only just begun airing on weekdays at 7:00 p.m. EST, which was its original time slot. Additionally, the program may be seen on Netflix in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
